He married Debra Anderson on July 25, 1997 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta. He worked as a farmer on the family farm until his retirement, and then for PSA for several years in Alta. Eldon was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta where he was very active on Church Council serving as chairman many times, he was a youth leader and Synod Assembly Representative. He ran the sound system and Deb and Eldon would play trumpet duets for holiday services at the church.  He was the biggest helper and supporter of Deb’s music students in their musical pursuits; he would run the sound system and was always available to assist Deb and the kids in any way he could.  There was never a conversation that Eldon didn’t take part in, his well thought out remarks were always welcome.  Deb found the love of her life and best friend and they spent many nights eating out and chatting with others in the various restaurants.

Preceding Eldon in death were his parents, father and mother in law: Leonard and Darlene Anderson, aunts & uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Deb of Alta, adopted daughters, Megan Benz and Nikole Nuttall, sister-in-law, Jan Anderson (Don Thom) of Ceylon, MN one nephew, James Anderson, many cousins, and a host of students and friends.
