Alice Mae Bressler was born on April 4, 1945 in Illinois to Milton George and Ina Mae (Masher) Bressler. The couple moved around while Alice was growing up. In 1965 Alice married Jerry J. Lewis at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA, and to this union four children were born: Robert, Michael, Chad and Carolyn. Alice worked many years as a CNA. She was a very religious woman and very devoted to her children. Alice enjoyed embroidery, watching movies, and Bible study.
Alice died on Thursday, January 5th at her apartment in Aurelia, Iowa, where she had been living after moving here from Kiron, Iowa.
Private family services will be held at a later date, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Aurelia, Iowa.
Preceding Alice in death were her parents, and one granddaughter, Ashley Kruse.
Survivors include her three sons; Robert and his fiancé Vicki Pelsor of Aurelia, Michael and his wife Jennifer of Carpenter, IA, Chad and his wife Melinda of Larrabee, IA, one daughter, Carolyn and her husband Kordell Kruse of Aurelia, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, five sisters, two brothers, and other relatives and friends.
