Ruby (Lewis) White, 98, of Mission Viejo, CA, died November 28, 2022 at her home. Private family inurnment services will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Aurelia, at a later date. The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of arrangements.

Ruby Delores Lewis was born October 18, 1924, at Cherokee, IA, the daughter of Walter L. and Nellie Ellen (Martin) Lewis. She attended various schools in Cherokee and Buena Vista Counties and graduated from the Meriden High School in 1942. In 1945 Ruby married George L. Neal, Jr. in Eureka, CA. She later attended a business college in Denver, CO. In 1966 she married Lester K. White in Laguna Beach, CA. Ruby worked as a secretary for Belcher Abstract & Title Co. in Eureka, CA, and then as a Court Clerk in Orange County, CA. She retired in January of 1978. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, South Orange County, CA, Genealogy Society, and various service organizations. Ruby enjoyed music, travel, reading, family history research, and computers.

Preceding Ruby in death were her parents, two brothers; John Richard Lewis in infancy, and Lester Leroy Lewis of Storm Lake in 2006, and her husband Lester White.

Survivors include one son, David L. and his wife Nancy Neal, one daughter, Gail M. Neal, one granddaughter, Heather Lynne McCurdy, and one great-granddaughter, Megan Alynne McCurdy.
