DAVID C. ENGDAHL

Graveside services for David C. Engdahl, 59, of North Mankato, MN, formerly of Aurelia, will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 27, 2012, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Aurelia, with Pastor Bruce Rapp officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., with the family present, at the Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.

David Conrad Engdahl was born on February 19, 1953, in Cherokee, Iowa, the son of Edwin W. and Hetty R. (Webster) Engdahl. He graduated from the Aurelia High School in 1971, and then attended a community college for two years. David served in the US Army. He had worked as a carpenter, for a nursery as a master gardener and as an audio technician.

David died Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Mankato.

Preceding David in death were his father Edwin, and one brother, Paul William Engdahl.

Survivors include his mother, Hetty Engdahl of Aurelia, two sisters, Peggy Leifer and her husband Jim Sak of Aurelia, and Nancy and her husband Tom Jarratt of Sioux City, IA, special friend, Betty Wilson, one niece, Jamie Samsel-Rodriguez and her husband Nick, two nephews, Aaron  and his wife Jun Samsel, and Matthew Samsel and special friend Heather Tyler, great-nephew Samuel Rodriguez, aunts and uncles, and other relatives and friends.
