cleonenewsFuneral services for Cleone L. Dyslin, 80, of Storm Lake, IA, will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 7, 2014, at the Church of Christ in Storm Lake, with Pastor Don Gordon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, with the family present, at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Storm Lake Cemetery. The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of arrangements.

Cleone Louise Van Winkle was born on December 16, 1933, the daughter of Carl Lee and Stena Martha (Larsen) Van Winkle at Brewster, Minnesota. She graduated from the Strom Lake High School in 1952. On June 15, 1952 she was united in marriage to Vergil “Bud” James Dyslin at the Church of Christ in Storm Lake. This union was blessed with three children; Ronald, Sharmin, and Kimberly. Cleone owned and operated the Natures Nutrition Center in Storm Lake, which she operated for 20 years until retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Cleone died Thursday, July 3, 2014, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Preceding Cleone in death were her parents, one sister, Juanita Schramm, one brother, Joe Van Winkle, and her husband Bud on April 25, 2014.

Survivors include one son, Ron and his wife Christine Dyslin of Warrenville, IL, two daughters; Sharmin and her husband Charles Ziska of West Valley City, UT, and Kimberly Dahm of Storm Lake, four granddaughters; Chelsea Dahm of Tiffin, OH, Emily Dahm of Los Angeles, CA, and Eleanor Dyslin and Elizabeth Dyslin both of Warrenville, IL. Also surviving are three brothers-in-law; Donald and his wife Darlene Dyslin of Minneapolis, MN, Larry and his wife Elaine Dyslin of Wheat Ridge, CO, and Joey and his wife Kathy Dyslin of Cherokee, two sisters-in-law; Donna McKissock of St. Paul, MN, and Diane Quevedo of Richardson, TX, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
